Oksana Kotel, partner in Goretsky & Partners, addressed the conference devoted to 30th anniversary of the Belarusian Republican Union of Lawyers in the section on arbitration. As one of the members of the Presidium of the Chamber of Arbitrators at the Union of Lawyers, Oksana elaborated on the features of the dispute resolution under the updated Arbitration Rules of the International arbitration court “Chamber of Arbitrators at the Union of Lawyers”.
The Chamber of Arbitrators is an international arbitration institution resolving commercial disputes. The Chamber of Arbitrators, as well as the International Arbitration Court at the BelCCI, acts under the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On international arbitration”.
The updated Rules of the Chamber of Arbitrators are based on the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules and feature modern mechanisms of administration of arbitral proceedings. These updates are supposed to make arbitral proceedings more effective and more available to the businesses.
The updated Rules will soon become available on the website of the Chamber of Arbitrators.
